Carrot Festival slated for Oct. 11

Congregation Agudat Achim’s 48th annual Carrot Festival returns to its Schenectady grounds Oct. 11 with food, music and family activities.

SCHENECTADY– Congregation Agudat Achim has slated on the synagogue grounds, 2117 Union St., Schenectady, its 48th annual Carrot Festival for Sunday, Oct. 11.

The festival will feature food for sale, particularly carrot-inspired food, music, vendors, exhibits, and family activities. It will be from 10a.m.-4:30 p.m. rain or shine. Admission to attend is free.

Music will include A Glezele Tey, a klezmer and Yiddish duo (Ariel Shapiro on accordion and vocals, Rachel Leader on violin and vocals) R & K Jazz , Gina Coleman’s Misty Blues Band and the Alex Torres Latin Orchestra.
