ALBANY– “Judaism has a message the world needs now more than ever,” asserted Rabbi Mordechai Rubin, co director of Colonie Chabad, as he announced a new JLI course entitled, “For All Humankind.” He will lead four conversations on what Jewish values mean and how and why they matter today. The course will be offered both in-person and on Zoom. Classes meet Tuesdays at 6 p.m. and begin May 12.
“We’re tackling big ideas, but this isn’t a course for philosophers: this is real, straight talk, said Rubin. The first class is free to try and will include a dinner. In Isaiah Hashem said . . . I will make you as a light unto the nations.” How this works will be elaborated on during the sessions.
The rabbi said that those that register prior to May 5 will have a discounted rate to attend and that there are scholarship opportunities still available.
This course will satisfy the continuing education (CLE) requirements of lawyers and other legal professionals.
