Colonie Chabad schedules YID Talks; four to share their ideas

Colonie Chabad’s TED-style night returns June 8 with four local voices, from a Technion-bound graduate to a Union College rabbi.

ALBANY-Colonie Chabad, 401 Loudon Rd., Loudonville, will host YID Talks - Jewish ideas worth sharing! at 6 p.m. on Monday, June 8. The free program is open to the community.

According to Rabbi Mordechai Rubin, codirector of Colonie Chabad, the program is modeled on TED talks - short presentations designed to share an individual’s focused ideas, expertise and insights.

Local Jewish presenters this year include David Ajdelsztajn, HS Graduate, accepted to Technion - Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa; Aleena Bucanan, Siena student; Olga Eldridge, senior software engineer; and Rabbi Shmuly Rubin of Union College Chabad.

Those planning to attend are asked to make reservations by Monday, June 1, by contacting the rabbi at chaicentercolonie@gmail.com or 518-368-7886.
