SCHENECTADY– The Schenectady Jewish Community Center (SJCC) has announced a “Senior Fit Day at the J” for Wednesday, June 11, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The SJCC, located at 2565 Balltown Rd., has designed events for local senior citizens.
Programing for the free senior day includes an aging in place seminar, a fitness demo crafted specifically for seniors, a healthy living seminar, a how fit are you? assessment, and a kosher lunch provided by the Schenectady County Department of Senior and Long-Term Care Services. Service provider information booths will be on site throughout the event and raffle prizes will be given out throughout the day.
Those planning to attend are asked to pre-register by June 8 by calling 518-377-8803. Organizers report that only 100 individuals may attend.
