SARATOGA SPRINGS–Saratoga Jewish Community Arts (SJCA) and the Jewish Federation of Northeastern New York will present live on Zoom, the world premiere performance of L’Chaim America!, from The Braid, a salon theater company. Shows will be June 4 at 7 p.m. or June 7 at 2 p.m.
To commemorate America’s 250th birthday, L’Chaim America! showcases The Braid’s professional actors performing true stories of gratitude and possibility in American Jewish life.
Featured will be a black Jewish storyteller recounting how Ashkenazi activists helped elect LA’s first black mayor, consideration of complex questions through a writer’s Native American and Jewish heritages and a view of an Iranian refugee family’s Thanksgiving.
