SJCC lists wooden gragger workshop and Purim themed carnival
The Schenectady JCC marks Purim with a March 8 family carnival of games, costumes, food and bouncy houses, plus a gragger workshop the week before.

SCHENECTADY– Purim will be noted by the The Schenectady Jewish Community Center (SJCC) with a carnival on Sunday, March 8, from 2-4 p.m. The family carnival at the Center, 2565 Balltown Rd., will feature carnival games, costumes, face painting, bouncy bounces, prizes, food, and raffle tickets.
Additionally, the SJCC will host a free wooden gragger workshop on Sunday, March 1, at 2:30 p.m. and graggers may be used during the megillah reading on the holiday on March 2 and 3. At this family workshop, caregivers will be encouraged to help kids to assemble and decorate the graggers (noisemakers).
Carnival tickets purchased prior to March 6 are $15 for JCC members and $20 for guests or $25 at the door. Information may be obtained by contacting the Center, 518- 377-8803.
