SCHENECTADY – The Schenectady Jewish Community Center (SJCC) has announced its 14th annual Robert J. Ludwig Community Service Awards Gala will be held on Thursday, Nov. 13, at 6 p.m. The gala will be at the Mohawk Golf Club, 1849 Union St., Schenectady,
Mona Golub, will be the emcee for the gala, which notes various individuals and organizations that the Center believes embody its values of service, partnership, and responsibility. The contributions of the honorees to the Capital Region, Schenectady County, and the Jewish Community Center community will be highlighted. According to organizers, the gala continues the late Robert J. Ludwig’s legacy of community partnership and responsibility.
This year’s honorees are:
The Community Service Award will be presented to Jack and Vicki Gold. Organizers said that they are recognized for their dedication to both the Center and the broader community, as they embody the Jewish value of tikkun olam—repairing the world.
The Corporate Partnership Award will be given to National Grid, which is to be honored for its role as a model corporate citizen. A According to organizers, National Grid has consistently supported initiatives that strengthen communities across the region. This includes working to promote the development and implementation of more sustainable, innovative, and affordable energy solutions.
Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital will be noted for its unwavering dedication to providing essential care and support for individuals and families across the Capital Region and the hospital will be honored with the Philanthropic Leadership Award.
