SJCC ‘Well-being Talk and lunch series,’ geared towards seniors, starts with cybersecurity clinic

The Schenectady JCC’s fall Well-Being Talk Series for seniors opens Sept. 16 with a cybersecurity clinic and a hot kosher lunch.

SCHENECTADY– The Schenectady Jewish Community Center (SJCC) will begin the fall/winter Well-Being Talk Series, geared toward seniors in the community on Wednesday, Sept. 16, at 11 a.m. with a cybersecurity clinic. The monthly Wednesday series features four talks at the Center, and includes a hot kosher lunch.

Future sessions include “Preventing and Managing Diabetes” on Wednesday, Oct. 21, at 12:30 p.m., “Picturing Nature: Photography Oriented Talk” on Wednesday, Nov. 18, at 11 a.m., and “Joyful Eating, Joyful Living: Holiday Food Tips” on Wednesday, Dec.16, at 11 a.m.

Cost for each individual program is $5 and the entire series may be purchased for $10. The series is partially funded by CDPHP, the Jewish Federation of Northeastern New York, the JCC Friends of the Arts and Culture, and in part by grants from the New York State Office for the Aging, the Administration for Community Living, and Schenectady County Senior and Long-Term Care.
