ALBANY–The B’yachad Hebrew School, for children from preschool through grade 7, a collaborative program of Congregation Ohav Shalom and B’nai Sholom Reform Congregation, officially begins on Sunday, Sept. 14, with classes running weekly from 9 a.m. - noon. Curriculum includes Hebrew, Torah stories, t’fillah (prayer), Jewish holiday celebrations, Israel, ethics, and creative enrichment through art, dance, cooking, and music. Students also participate in tikun olam (social action) projects.
In addition to the Sunday program, B’yachad offers “Wonderful Wednesdays”—a midweek enrichment session held from 4:30-6 p.m. According to administrators, these sessions provide students with additional Hebrew learning and hands-on Jewish activities. Family education programs are also held throughout the year, offering opportunities for parents and children to learn, celebrate, and grow together.
Registration is open for the 2025–2026 school year. Families interested in enrolling may visit the school’s website at www.byachad.org.
