SARATOGA SPRINGS-Congregation Shaara Tfille and The Jewish Community Center of Saratoga Springs will note Pride Month with a performance by Isle of Klezbos on Sunday, June 14, 1 -3 p.m. The performance will be at the synagogue, 84 Weibel Ave. Saratoga Springs.
Isle of Klezbos is an all-women klezmer group founded in 1998 in New York City by drummer and bandleader Eve Sicular. Its name is a pun combining “klezmer” with “Lesbos,” reflecting the group’s LGBTQ+ identity and community connections. The band has been active in Pride-related performances and Jewish cultural festivals.
